WHAT'S NEW AT
ALTERYEARS!
Nov. 11. We've had a very busy year doing all kind
of shows. But we haven't stopped doing new patterns either. By Nov. 15th we
expect to publish three new ones. We will have an Easy Ghawazee Coat for those
of you who love the comfort of Middle Eastern garb, an Easy Girl's Adjustable
Bodice in our Renaissance children's collection and, by popular demand, an Easy
Women's Peasant Outfit, which combines a chemise, adjustable bodice and gored
skirt all in one pattern. Coming up behind that is the Easy Girl's Skirt
and then an Easy Girl's Peasant Outfit, combining a chemise, bodice and
skirt.
We have lots more in development so check back
often to see what's new!
March 2011
We've been very busy doing shows and are off doing
still more. Check the new updated schedule on the bottom of the home page.
Have been cranking new patterns as well. Check
under Elizabethan patterns for the new PAY-026 Easy Cape with hood or collar. We
call this CAPE 101 because it is so versatile: eight lengths, sizes from xs to
4x, lined or unlined body, with a hood or a collar. While it's found under
Elizabethan patterns right now, it also works for just about any time period
including the present day,
After lots of requests we have made a pattern for an
adjustable bodice called... PAY-025 Easy Adjustable Bodice! It has front lacing,
side lacing and shoulder lacing for the maximum versatility in width and length.
We also have a loop tab option for the bottom as well, and of course, it's
multisize from xs-2x.
And there's more on the drawing
board.....
June 1, 2010.
-The show schedule has been updated for most of the
events we know about through the end of the year. Looks like we're going to be
very busy folks bringing AlterYears out to you! There are some new events for
us, so we hope to meet even more of you this year. We bring things to shows like
trim, feathers, gloves, parasols, fans etc. that we don't have on our website
yet, so stop by to check out all the goodies!
- Look for us on Facebook now. We've got
some pictures up from recent events and will also be posting updates to keep you
in touch with all the doings here.
- We are cranking out a bunch of new patterns
- our first in many years. First out the door is the PAY-023 Easy Child's
Peasant Shirt/Chemise. Sized for kids up size 12, this is a child's version of
our populat PAY-010 Easy Peasant Shirt/ Chemise. This is just the first of a
series of new kids patterns for the Renaissance/Elizabethan time period. Look
for this one under Patterns/historical/Elizabethan/kids. Next one out is our
new PAY-024 Easy Princess Gown/Kirtle. We've had a hard time finding you a good
kirtle pattern with the correct from-the shoulder princess seams. So we made one
for you. You can wear this alone as a gorgeous, full-skirted dress during the
mid-Medieval time period, or under a cotehardie/sideless surcoat for a later
look or even under a Renaissance surcoat. It also makes a lovely wedding/prom
dress! Find it under patterns/historical/medieval/women's or
renaissance/womens.
- We have found a new hoop wire supplier after
several months of searching. A huge batch of 12 yard reels is due in here the
end of the month. Alas, however, millinery wire and joiners at reasonable prices
remain elusive. We'll keep looking.
December 2009
- Check out the new lacing rings and hook and eye
tapes under the product listings!
-Two new Laughing Moon patterns have arrived: The
PLM-114 Ladies Round Dresses 1840's-50's and a tissue supplement that expands
the sizing on the Dore corset in the popular PLM-100 Victorian corset pattern
from 26 (bust 48") all the way up to size 48 (bust 62")!
- We've added international destinations to
our shopping cart. The shipping costs can be found under the "Domestic/
International Shipping Info" page. |
