PAY-023 Easy Child`s Shirt/Chemise
This easy pattern lets you create the all-purpose undergarment worn by both boys and girls during the Renaissance. This garment was worn alone by toddlers, or with the draw-string bottom for babies. Older children would wear it under bodices, jerkins, or doublets. Usually girls wore them longer as petticoats and boys wore them shorter to tuck into breeches.
The pattern features three neckline options: a drawstring casing or cased elastic for a smooth neckline, or a ruffled neckline drawn up with a drawstring. The full sleeves are gathered into either a smooth cased cuff or a self-ruffle with a drawstring.
Multisized child's 1-10
