PAY-014 "Irish" Dress & Underskirt
This pattern is in the style of dress
adopted by the Irish clans at
many Renaissance fairs. It is a
simplification of theactual dress
worn in the period. It is a simple
sleeveless dress worn over a
contrasting underskirt. The bodice
of the dress is laced or hooked
in center front. Both pleated and
gathered dress skirt versions are
given. The underskirt may be
pleated or gathered to a waist
band or drawstring. The Irish
dress is worn over the Irish
shirt PAY-015 the "leine" ,

PAY-015 "Irish Leine (Shirt)
This pattern allows you to make several
different styles of the traditional Irish
shirt called a "leine" or "linn". Choose
a deep scooped neckline or a slit
front keyhole style. Choose full
rectangular bagged sleeves or
smaller triangular sleeves. Choose
slleves with adjustable drawstrings
to draw them up or a gathered sleeve
fixed in place with trim.

This traditional full-length cloak with
or without a hood can be made in
three variations: 1) collar only, no
hood, 2)collar with gathered hood
that releases to a ruffled shoulder

collar styles.
