PFW-237 Tango Dress
The tango craze swept the country in the 1920s, and the exotic dance required fashions that dipped and swayed with the music. This dramatic fashion has an optional shaped back hemline and draped scarf for sensuous movement. The dress can also be made more conservatively, and worn with a cardigan sweater (knitting instructions included). Suggested fabrics: Lightweight fabrics with drape, such as silk or polyester satin, charmeuse, crepe, challis, lightweight linen or cotton.

The long sleeveless bodice hangs straight to the hips where it meets the skirt made of two uniquely cut sections. The back of the skirt falls away from a front hip panel that echoes the V neck lines. Another shallow V hugs the body at the bodice/skirt seam in back. The evening version has a back cutouit, back streamers and an uneven hemline. Both day and night versions are finished by a rolled collar ending in front ties. The daytime version retains the body- skimming bodice but has a high back and no streamers.  The long line cardigan in stockinette stitch is the perfect cover up.

(002) PFW-1927 Tea Frock
The "Genuine Philippine Hand-Embroidered" frocks of the 1920s were all the rage among women too busy to stitch. This easy-sew style features a flattering dropped waist and optional smocking. Suggested fabrics: Soft, light to medium-weight fabrics such as cotton gauze, crepe, batiste, voile, georgette, rayon challis, silk.

View A features a V-neck, small collar and cap sleeves on a dropped-waist bodice that is eased into a snugly fitted hip panel. The skirt is gathered into the pointed hip panel and falls to just below knee length., View B is collarless; smocking provides the close fit over the hips and at the wrist of  the long sleeves, while creating gathers in the skirt and a ruffled effect on the sleeve cuff. Sleeves and collar are interchangeable on both views.

(004) PFW-219 Intimacies
This treasure chest of lingerie styles from the 1920s and 1930s includes a camisole, tap pants, bias teddy, and slip. These are also known as knickers, combinations or "step-ins".Depending on fabric choice, they can be made for under-garment pleasure or sassy summer outerwear.

The straight Camisole buttons at center front and is drawn up above the bust by a ribbon throught a self-casing. It ends just below the waist, which can be drawn up by a ribhon through a casing.
