This corset comes in two styles. The basic untabbed version
is an early 16th century version from the Tudor/Early
Renaissance era, and curves from the front point to the
waistline in back. The untabbed version with back support, es
especially appropriate for fashions with bumrolls or for
people with back problems. This corset is designed to be
easy to make, so construction techniques have been
simplified for modern equipment and materials.
Although corset stay lengths are shown
above, AlterYears STRONGLY recommends that you make a
mock-up first, fit it to yourself, adjust for length and
then measure for your stays. People vary just as
much up and down as they do around, so making a
mock-up will ensure that your corset fits you! Corset stays
are available under "Corset-making
Supplies".
